The "causses"
of Méjean and Sauveterre are vast wide limestones, imposing by the sobrity of the landscape and the marriage without mixture of the elements: a pure and sharp sky as far as the eye can see, the precise line of the ground and the silence of the water absorbed by the faults and cracks of the ground, give them force and
mystery.
The Tarn and Jonte carved these plates and erosion gave to the
gorges distorted shapes, sublime arches, which oppose their imagination to the serenity of causses.
The Rare Vegetation the Causses, like the "Chardon", contrast with the greenery and the fertility of the
Gorges.
Many forms of sport are practised in these Gorges: canoe,

boat descent with
the "Bâteliers of Malène" (which will make you discover 8km of
the most beautiful part of the Gorges du Tarn).
But also for the lovers of beautiful sights, panoramas of the Sublime Point, the Rock of the
Serre and the Rock of Hourtous, as well as the View-point of Vautours.

But also of the underground visits with sites fabulously feeric such Caves of the
Aven Armand

and Dargilan.
